What is the Psalm 82:3 Project?
We recently started the Psalm 82:3 Project as a way to bless families or missions that we partner with for months at time through shared fundraising. The last few months Jana has been really exercising her Silhouette machine, and using it to make signs. The first push was for the Love, Justice International sale at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in November.
Since then, Jana has done a couple of other craft events, showcasing the signs and raising money. The signs are high quality and very well done.
For the next few months, all sale proceeds are going to a dear family from church – the Martins. Brian and Ann are deep into the international adoption process, working with a particular agency and the country of Costa Rica.
This is an expensive and noble undertaking – with life-long impacts and we’d like to help out. You can too! Currently, the signs and other information is hosted on the Facebook Group for the Psalm 82:3 Project. Click there and the available signs are categorized into a variety of photo albums. Message Jana about what you would like to get and the proceeds will go towards the Martin’s adoption. Also, the Martins have started a blog about their journey at rootedinhim.org.
What does this have to do with Our Bright Acres? Well, for the next month, we will be donating the proceeds from our honey and beeswax sales to this cause. Last year around this time, we ran a honey fundraiser for the Nyamaturas in Zimbabwe and we praise God for the proceeds from that event. This Christmas season, consider some sweet, raw honey – that will benefit an amazing adoption story as well!
Thanks and God bless!
Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 82:3-4
